Q CHO www.sportsbarfights.com argues for Brett Favre’s place among the greats

good discussion

Favre’s INT totals are a bit deceiving until you compare with the great QBs all time. Brett’s INT% is very close to guys like Marino and Elway. There’s a ton of guys like Fouts, Bradshaw, Tarkenton and other former greats who would have had well over 300 INTs if they had as many pass attempts as Favre.
That doesn’t absolve Brett of many of his foolish throws but it keeps things in perspective.

who voted for this? NFL DB’s?

Your sport Bar fights suck, damn,go ahead and talk that out here in are bars in Brooklyn! all of your sport shit is trash! the stats, the stats! dude, shut the hell up you bumb! how about the freakin’ skills,it takes skills to put up stats, but its hard to put up stats with no skill around you, beside, your self! how do you know that Gale Sayers isn’t the greatest to ever play! if he did put up 20,000 yards, and 170TD’s then you,and everybody else would say he is the best ever! bar fights, nobody wins!

Whoa josephNYY2 relax. Go to the website we have arguments for alot of players even Gale Sayers. Our site is not about settling anything it’s a site to inform people of all the different angles of how you’d argue for your favorite player if you wanted

oh,thanks,i thought you were saying he was the greatest, because alot of your videos,i completly disagree. but i will do so.

Favre = Failure.

Most of Favres records are based on longevity.
Joe Montana is the greatest QB ever and I’ll tell you why.

Joe Montana Super Bowl Stats:

Record: 4-0 Td’s:11 Int’s: 0 Yds: 1157

He went to 4 Super Bowls, won them all while averaging 3 Td’s, 0 interceptions and almost 300 yds per game.

Case closed.

His record are based on consistent above average play, which is something to be very proud of.

Agreed… Not to take anything away from what he’s done. But he is not the greatest of all time.

Strongest arm:Terry Bradshaw
Most accurate: Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning
Best no-huddle quarterback:Jim Kelly
Prettiest spiral: Warren Moon
Best pocket passer: Troy Aikman
Best scrambler: Fran Tarkenton
Best running quarterback: Steve Young
Best play-action fakes: Johnny Unitas, Steve DeBerg, Boomer Esiason, Peyton Manning
Coolest customer: Roger Staubach
Ultimate gunslingers: Bobby Layne, Brett Favre
Most efficient: Bart Starr
Most durable: Brett Favre

I think there is something wrong with your video. Its title is The Greatest QB of all time but when I played it there was some fag talking about Bret Farve. Can you check on this and repost the Johnny Unitas video please?

how can you say brett’s records are based on longevity? he threw 421 td passes in one less game than dan marino threw 420

u dont know football

Your Father, wife, brother in law taken from you —–think. Yet he did what he did for his team.

unitus is the best period.42 straight games with a touchdown!

People stop comparing Montana with Favre. All i hear is look at Joe he has 4 superbowl wins compared to favre with only 1. Do you people really watch Football. It’s a Team game It’s not tennis. And for those who don’t know what i meant by that, it means you just can’t have the greatest qb off all time and win championships. Some of you r pretty thick headed. It’s a TEAM EFFORT. One guy does’nt win superbowls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You r right that championship is a team effort but what about records? What makes the greatest qb? records, championships, great receivers? Does one guy make himself the greatest or is it the people around him? The greatest qb finds a way for him and his team to win regardless of the situation. Montana has proven that more often than farve. The greatest won’t always win u a championship but the greatest will win u 4 Super Bowls..

Best pocket passe- johnny Unitas
coolest customer- Joe Montana(His nickname is Joe Cool)
scrambler and running qb- Michael Vick(easy)
strongest arm- Farve or Elway but J. Russell might beat them.

you can throw for a million yards but with no championships whats the use? YOu tell me what qb has gone to multiple super bowls and thrown 0 interceptions. There is no other. 2 super bowl wins with teams that had little talent and a 3rd super bowl with a team that almost did’nt make the playoffs. Montana is the greatest ask Marino and Elway cause Joe destroyed them in the Super Bowl.
